In this multiplayer interactive room, discover Anta Granda Comenda. Located in the civil parish of Nossa Senhora do Bispo, within the municipality of Montemor-o-Novo in the central Alentejo region of mainland Portugal, the Great Dolmen of Comenda da Igreja (also known as Anta Grande de Comenda da Igreja or Anta Grande da Herdade da Igreja) is a megalithic funerary site. The site was home to semi-nomadic or sedentary settlements between the 4th millennium B.C. and the middle of the 3rd millennium B.C., which were linked to the ancient Évora communities.

The megalithic site is situated in a remote area of forested scrub, located in a plain. Its shape extends from west to east, consisting of a central polygonal chamber measuring approximately 4 meters (13 ft) wide, and an oblong rectangular corridor measuring 10 meters (33 ft) long. The architectural elements are horizontally oriented and covered separately in each section, with a granite slab covering the main chamber, and individual elements covering the corridor. The walls of the chamber reach a height of 6 meters (20 ft), while the corridor stands at a height of 180 centimeters (71 in). Despite its large size, the corridor remains well-preserved and intact.
